License Overview
Understanding your rights and obligations
This License Agreement governs your use of TradePro's platform, software, APIs, data, and related services. By accessing TradePro, you agree to the terms of the license applicable to your subscription tier.
Personal License
Free tier — for individual traders
The Personal License is granted free of charge to individual users for personal, non-commercial trading and investment activities. This license is non-transferable and non-sublicensable.

Commercial License
Pro tier — for professionals and businesses
The Commercial License (included with Pro and Enterprise subscriptions) grants you the right to use TradePro for professional and business purposes, including client-facing applications and revenue-generating activities.
Professional Trading
PermittedUse TradePro as a professional trader, fund manager, or financial analyst. Includes use for managing client portfolios with appropriate regulatory compliance.
Business Internal Use
PermittedDeploy TradePro within your organization for internal trading, research, and analysis purposes. Covers unlimited internal users under a single Enterprise license.
Client-Facing Applications
PermittedBuild applications that display TradePro data to your clients, subject to data attribution requirements and API usage limits of your subscription tier.
Revenue-Generating Services
PermittedUse TradePro data and tools as part of a paid service offering, provided you have an active Pro or Enterprise subscription and comply with data attribution requirements.
API License
Terms for programmatic access to TradePro data
Access to TradePro's API is governed by your subscription tier. All API usage must comply with these terms regardless of the technical implementation.
API Documentation: Full API reference, SDKs, and code examples are available at tradepro.com/api. API keys are issued per account and must not be shared.
Developer License
Building applications with TradePro
Developers building applications, tools, or integrations using TradePro's API or data must comply with the Developer License terms in addition to their subscription license.
Attribution Required
Applications using TradePro data must display "Powered by TradePro" or equivalent attribution in a visible location. Attribution requirements may be waived under Enterprise agreements.
No Reverse Engineering
You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble TradePro's software, algorithms, or AI models. This includes attempting to extract proprietary trading signals or data structures.
Security Requirements
Applications must implement appropriate security measures to protect API keys and user data. You are responsible for the security of your integration and any data you store.
Compliance Responsibility
You are responsible for ensuring your application complies with all applicable laws and regulations in the jurisdictions where it operates, including financial regulations.
SaaS Usage Terms
Using TradePro as a software-as-a-service
TradePro is provided as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform. The following terms apply to all SaaS usage:
No Installation Required
TradePro is accessed via web browser or mobile app. You do not receive a copy of the software and may not install it on your own servers without an Enterprise self-hosting agreement.
Service Availability
We target 99.9% uptime for Pro users and 99.99% for Enterprise. Scheduled maintenance windows are announced 48 hours in advance. SLA credits are available for downtime exceeding these targets.
Data Ownership
You retain ownership of all data you input into TradePro (portfolio data, custom watchlists, notes). TradePro retains ownership of platform data, market data, and AI-generated insights.
Service Modifications
TradePro may modify, update, or discontinue features with 30 days' notice for material changes. We will not reduce core functionality without offering a prorated refund for the affected period.
Marketplace License
For Astro JS marketplace and theme distribution
Marketplace Theme License: This TradePro theme is available for purchase on the Astro JS marketplace. The following terms apply to marketplace purchases.
Single-Site License
Each purchase grants a license to use this theme on one (1) website or application. Additional sites require additional licenses.
Unlimited Projects (Extended)
The Extended License allows use on unlimited projects for a single purchaser. Includes commercial use and client projects.
Modifications Allowed
You may modify the theme's code, design, and content for your specific use case. Modified versions may not be resold as a theme.
No Resale of Theme
You may not resell, redistribute, or sublicense this theme as a standalone product. You may use it as part of a larger product or service.
Enterprise License
Full rights for institutions and large organizations
The Enterprise License provides the most comprehensive rights for organizations that need to deploy TradePro at scale, white-label the platform, or integrate it deeply into their products.
White-Label Rights
Deploy TradePro under your own brand with custom domain, logo, and color scheme.
Self-Hosting Option
Deploy TradePro on your own infrastructure for maximum control and data sovereignty.
Unlimited Users
No per-seat pricing. Deploy to your entire organization without additional license fees.
Custom Integrations
Full access to internal APIs and webhooks for deep integration with your existing systems.
Source Code Access
Selected Enterprise customers may receive access to portions of the source code under NDA.
Redistribution Rights
Resell or redistribute TradePro-powered products to your customers under a separate agreement.

Redistribution Policy
Rules for sharing and distributing TradePro content
Default Policy: Redistribution of TradePro software, data, or content is prohibited without explicit written permission, except as outlined below.
Market Data
ProhibitedRaw market data obtained through TradePro's API may not be redistributed, resold, or shared with third parties. You may display derived insights and analysis to your users.
Screenshots & Media
PermittedYou may share screenshots of TradePro for editorial, educational, or review purposes with appropriate attribution. Commercial use of screenshots requires written permission.
API Responses
ProhibitedCaching API responses for performance is permitted within your application. Storing and redistributing API data to third parties is prohibited without an Enterprise data license.
Enterprise Data License
PermittedOrganizations requiring data redistribution rights may apply for an Enterprise Data License. This allows redistribution of specified data sets under agreed terms and attribution requirements.
Source Code Policy
Access to and use of TradePro's source code
TradePro's platform source code is proprietary and confidential. The following policies govern any access to source code:
Proprietary Software
TradePro's core platform, AI models, and trading algorithms are proprietary. No source code is publicly available.
Theme Source Code
Marketplace theme purchases include access to the theme's source code (HTML, CSS, JS) for customization purposes.
Enterprise Source Access
Selected Enterprise customers may receive access to specific modules under a separate NDA and source code license agreement.
No Reverse Engineering
Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling any TradePro software is strictly prohibited under all license tiers.

License Activation
How to activate and manage your license
Your TradePro license is automatically activated when you subscribe. Here's how license management works:
Subscribe
Choose your plan and complete payment. Your license is activated instantly upon successful payment.
API Key Generation
Navigate to Account Settings → API → Generate Key. Your API key is your license credential for programmatic access.
License Verification
TradePro automatically verifies your license on each login and API request. No manual activation is required.
License Management
View your license details, usage statistics, and manage API keys from Account Settings → License.
Upgrade & Renewal Policy
Managing your license over time
Upgrades
Upgrade your license at any time. You'll be charged the prorated difference for the remainder of your billing period. New features are available immediately.
Renewals
Licenses renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You'll receive a reminder 7 days before renewal. Cancel anytime to prevent renewal.
Downgrades
Downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Features from the higher tier remain available until the period ends.
License Expiry: If your subscription lapses, your license immediately reverts to the Free tier. API keys are deactivated and commercial use rights are suspended until renewal.
Restrictions & Prohibited Usage
What you must never do under any license
The following activities are prohibited under all license tiers and will result in immediate license termination:
Competing Products
Using TradePro's data, algorithms, or technology to build a competing trading platform or market data service.
Data Scraping
Automated scraping of TradePro's website, platform, or API beyond permitted rate limits.
License Sharing
Sharing your account, API keys, or license with unauthorized users or organizations.
Circumventing Limits
Using technical means to bypass rate limits, access restrictions, or feature gates.
Illegal Activities
Using TradePro for market manipulation, insider trading, money laundering, or any illegal financial activity.
Trademark Misuse
Using TradePro's name, logo, or trademarks in a way that implies endorsement without written permission.

Third-Party Integrations Licensing
Licenses for integrated third-party services
TradePro integrates with third-party services that have their own licensing terms. By using TradePro, you also agree to the applicable terms of these services:
Market Data Providers
Market data is licensed from exchanges and data vendors. Redistribution of raw market data is prohibited without a separate data license.
Stripe Payment Processing
Payment processing is provided by Stripe Inc. Use of payment features is subject to Stripe's Terms of Service and Connected Account Agreement.
Google Analytics
Analytics data is processed by Google LLC under Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. You may opt out via browser settings.
AWS Cloud Services
Infrastructure is provided by Amazon Web Services. Service availability is subject to AWS's Service Level Agreements.
Mapbox (Geographic Data)
Geographic and mapping data is provided by Mapbox under their Terms of Service. Map tiles may not be extracted or redistributed.
Compliance & Legal
Legal framework and compliance requirements
Governing Law
This License Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California, USA.
Export Controls
TradePro software may be subject to US export control laws. You may not export to sanctioned countries.
Severability
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
License Enforcement: TradePro actively monitors for license violations. Violations may result in immediate license termination, legal action, and claims for damages. We take intellectual property protection seriously.

Common questions about TradePro licensing
Can I use TradePro to build a trading bot?
Yes, with a Pro or Enterprise subscription. You can use TradePro's API to build automated trading systems for personal use. Building and selling trading bots to others requires an Enterprise license. All bots must comply with applicable financial regulations.
Can I use TradePro data in my research paper or article?
Yes, for non-commercial academic and journalistic purposes, you may reference TradePro data with appropriate attribution ("Data sourced from TradePro"). For commercial publications, please contact licensing@tradepro.com.
I bought the marketplace theme — can I use it for client projects?
A single-site license covers one project. For multiple client projects, you need either multiple single-site licenses or an Extended License. The Extended License covers unlimited projects for a single purchaser.
Can I white-label TradePro for my brokerage?
Yes, white-labeling is available under our Enterprise License. This includes custom branding, domain, and the ability to present TradePro as your own platform. Contact our enterprise team for pricing and terms.
What happens to my license if TradePro is acquired or shuts down?
In the event of acquisition, your license terms are honored by the acquiring entity. If TradePro shuts down, we will provide 90 days' notice and a prorated refund for unused subscription periods. Enterprise customers have additional protections in their agreements.
Can I transfer my license to another person or company?
Personal and Pro licenses are non-transferable. Enterprise licenses may be transferred with written approval from TradePro's licensing team. Marketplace theme licenses may be transferred once with notification to TradePro.
